Day 8 of 30 Day Picture Challenge

Picture of something that makes me laugh

Just in time for Valentines Day

Day 7 od 30 Day Picture Challenge

Picture of my most prized possession

Not including Stratton (because that's a given)
my most prized possession is my wedding rings.

Day 6 of 30 Day Photo Challenge

Picture of a person you'd love to change places with for a day

I would love to switch places with Kat Von D for one day. She is such a cool person and I would love to see what it feels like to have that many tattoos.

Catching Up

I feel like that's all I've been doing lately. Trying and trying to catch up but always one step behind where I should be. Such is life. I had a great weekend with family and friends this weekend. Friday night Derek, my mom and I took Stratton to go see the Monster Truck Winter Nationals!
He was so excited about the Monster Trucks
All smiles on the way to eat dinner before the Monster Trucks
This was about 5 minuets after we left the house.
My dad gave him a magnifying glass at dinner, he kept looking at his food really close.
Getting ready to see the MONSTER TRUCKS!
That big line was to ride on the back of a monster truck for two laps.
Not worth it.
  SO EXCITED!
 First Truck. First Jump.
Then a 30 min wait to get the broken down truck taken off the track.
Stratton hid for most of the show because it was so loud.
Towards the end of the show he really started to come out of his shell. They did the arena-cross motor cycles and he really enjoyed watching that. He also enjoyed when the big trucks did the free style because they jumped up in the air really high. They weren't as loud when they did the free style either so that helped. Overall we had an awesome time. I think Derek even enjoyed it.

The next day (Saturday) Stratton and I went with my mom and Dad to the OTA Trivia Night up in St Louis. It was really fun and our table even won the trivia night. Stratton had so much fun running around and getting candy from everyone. We stayed the night with Auntie Pam and got to eat breakfast with her in the morning on Sunday. Here are some pictures from the ride up to St Louis.

This was his attempt to give me two thumbs up.

Day 5 of 30 Day Picture Challenge

Picture of your favorite memory

There are two memories that I have that are my favorite.

The first would be my wedding day.
The second would be the day I had Stratton.

Friday Confessions

I confess that I have 4 baskets of laundry that need to be folded and two baskets that need to be washed but I can't muster up the energy to do it.

I confess that I have been completely lost these last 3 days without my planner. I lost it and I can't find it. It's driving me insane not knowing where it is or what I need to do this week. I'm just praying I'm not forgetting to do something.

I confess I have been wearing the same jeans everyday this week. I'm just trying to see if anyone will notice.

I confess I would rather snuggle up with Groucho over Derek because the cat doesn't snore when he falls asleep.

I confess I bought a Valentines Day present for myself. I'm just disguising it as a present for Derek. I got him a candy basket even thought he doesn't like sweets.

I confess I am tired of friends ALWAYS bailing on me. I'm tired of getting my hopes up so I don't get my hopes up at all anymore.

I confess that I haven't worn socks for the last 2 weeks.

I confess that I have been craving crab legs or imitation crab meat since yesterday.

Day 4 of 30 Day Picture Challenge

Pictures of your night
Derek and Stratton love hanging out on the couch.
I eat at least one or two of these a night. Shhh.
Derek and Stratton hang out with Groucho and Groucho sleeps.
I'm trying to be a better cook so I'm starting to work on my baking skills.
 Stratton goofs off.
And then we end the night with Stratton crashing on the nearest soft surface.

Guns, Snow, and Cookies

This last week has been packed with excitement! This last weekend my Dad took Derek, Marcus and their friend Todd to the shooting range. They had quite the male bonding experience. Derek said his shoulder was sore from the shotgun (I secretly think it was from the manly arm punching that guys do when they're "bonding").Here's my lovely husband doing his best redneck impersonation.

Notice the cigarette in mouth still...that takes a lot of talent.

We also received some snow this week. The worst of it was yesterday about mid day. Here are a few pictures I took on my way to class. The conditions of the roads were horrible but the people's driving around town was even worse. It took me an hour to get to class from Fruitland.

Yep, that's 17 degrees. This morning it was only 7!
The Emerson Memorial Bridge covered in snow

Last night since the weather was so nasty I decided to have our friend Lauren over for dinner and to help me make cookies. Derek went and picked her up, well he tried to pick her up. He wound up having her walk to the bottom of their enormously long drive up to their apartment complex. I made missile burgers for dinner. YUMM! They're a glorified sloppy joe but they taste SO good and are really easy to make. If you all would like the recipe please feel free to ask. Derek and Stratton love it when I make them. I also got to use my Kitchen Aid Mixer for the first time last night. I made my Grandma's Homemade Cookies from scratch! That's right SCRATCH! They turned out really good and they went fast today when I took them to work. I kept a bag at home for myself just because I know how much people I work with love free food. Especially sweets! Here is the final product as well as my Day 4 of 30 Day Picture Challenge.

Day 3 of 30 Day Picture Challenge

Picture of the cast from your favorite show

I have a few favorite shows

My absolute favorite is L.A. Ink
This picture is from the first season. This was back when It was mostly girls in the shop.
I haven't much cared for the last couple of season because it seems like the drama is more important than the tattoos. I guess thats TLC for ya.

2nd Runner Up
True Blood
This is the only reason why Derek and I insist on keeping HBO.
I can't wait for season 4 to come out!
