Ducks at the Park WIth Grandpa Calvin

So these are from back in early April. We had a few loafs of bread that were getting old and so I decided it would be fun to take Stratton to the park to feed the ducks. Since we were going to be in Cape anyway I called my dad to see if he would like to come. Here are the pictures!

 

He looks so tiny in these pictures even though they are from only a few months ago.

 

He kept trying to eat the bread instead of throwing it into the water..

 

He loves his Grandpa Calvin.
 

Stratton didn't know what to think of the ducks. There were a  lot of them.
 

He had a hard time getting the bread into the water because it was too light. It would land like a foot infront of us when he would throw it.
 

Still trying to get the whole taking a picture concept down. Haha.

Stratton and Friends

These pictures are from about two months ago. We had our friends Alex and Lauren Skelton over for dinner. Stratton loves playing out in our back yard. 

Stratton loves picking flowers in the back yard.

He likes to smell them too.

He looks so cute when he smells them. I wish I had a video of it.

Then once he's done with it he throws it on the ground.

It's so nice being able to go outside in the nice weather!

He's always very careful about taking his bowl into the living room. Heaven forbid he spills any food.

He loves driving his car around the foot rest.

I think Alex has baby fever. He loves playing with Stratton.

This is what he really likes doing in the water. He loves to fill up his bowls with the garden hose.

Alex got sprayed by Stratton while they were playing.

He likes to water the stump and the weeds around it.

I think the stump is a lost cause though.

My Artwork from Last Semester

Last semester was the first semester I was able to take art classes on campus since I had gotten pregnant with Stratton. I was really worried when I started because I wasn't sure how much of my creativity I would still have since it had been TWO YEARS since I had taken an art class. Much to my surprise I did a lot better than I thought that I would and actually had a great time with my friends from a few semesters back.

This is the third project I made last semester and by far the best piece I think I have EVER made. I used a mixed wood for the background and molding for the frame. I used an orange stain for the back and a dark brown/purpleish color for the sides and frame. The tree is made from a 12ga steel sheet that I plasma cut and welded bolts to the back of. Here is the finished product.

These three pieces were my second project that I made. These pictures aren't that great but you can get the jest of it. The top is a silhouette of Derek, the second me, and the third is Stratton. The wood I painted with brown watered down acrylic paint. The faces are 12ga steel that I plasma cut after I traced out silhouettes on them.

This is the first project that I made last semester. I wasn't really that happy with this but I don't think it turned out as bad as I thought it would. The base of it is concrete and the spine of it that holds it up is a steel post. The ribcage is made out of aluminum foil with plaster covering it. It is colored with textured spray paint and acrylic paint. The cloth over it is burlap that is sewn together with hemp string. 

Overall, I'm happy with how the semester came out. I'm glad that I took the class even though it was hard to balance class, work, being a good wife, and a good mom. It was rough but I did it and I know I can keep up the good work and keep getting closer and closer to graduating. I can't wait for next semester when I can get that much closer to graduating. Wish me luck!

Fathers Day...a little late

 For fathers day this year we went to my parents house and my dad made us breakfast. It was great getting to spend the morning with my dad. He loves making us breakfast and I love eating his breakfast!

Stratton doesn't like to give Grandpa Calvin kisses on his cheeks or lips because his beard is so fuzzy 

so he kisses him on the nose.

 

My dad makes the best breakfast! But he makes me look really pale! Thanks Dad!

 

Stratton loves his Aunt Casey! He was giving her lots of lovin!

A-Z all about me

A- My AIR CONDITIONER is set on: 77 at the moment but it feels like 72!

B- My BEDROOM theme is: blue, brown, and sprinkled with dirty clothes.

C- The CAR in the driveway is: a Kia Optima and a Ford F150

D- My DESK looks:  like a geeks desk. I have a desk that is literally like a 3ft x 3ft x 4ft triangle and I have a MacBook to my left, a gateway PC in front of me and an OLD mac to my right. Nothing like being a graphic artist

E- The EXACT time I wake up daily is: around 6:30 if I take a shower and a little after 7 if I don't

F- The FIRST thing I wash in the shower is: my hair

G- My GARAGE is filled with: stuff that we need to get rid of, a riding lawn mower, and tiles for the basement that we still need to lay

H- My HOUSE is: where I started my family.

I- If you peeked INSIDE my bedroom you'd see: our bed, 2 dressers, T.V. and a closest FULL of clothes

J- My favorite JUICE is: peace juice...mmmm they used to have it at crackle

K- The best part of my KITCHEN is: the kitchen table. Derek and I bought it for the apartment and we have had it ever since.

L- The LAST person who visited my home was: Stephanie and Payne came to visit the other day and see all the new clothes I got at the crazy garage sale :D

M- The last piece of MAIL for me was:  a discover bill ... boo.

N- My NEIGHBORS think I'm: I have no idea on this one. We have never met either set of neighbors.

O- If you OPENED my fridge you'd see: seriously nothing right now. We have filtered water, and condiments.

P- My last house PARTY was: over at Dale and Lisa's house for Josh's birthday

Q- A QUICK meal I like to fix is: spaghetti

R- My favorite ROOM of the house is: our living room. I just decorated it with pictures and I'm super proud of it.

S- The SHAMPOO brand I use is: I use like 3 different kinds. I like to keep changing it up

T- My largest TELEVISION is: Ummm...46'' I think...

U- UNDER my bed you will find: stray feathers from our feather mattress a safe and a bunch of my books. Oh and probably a bunch of bobby pins that I take out of my hair right before bed

V- The last time I VACUUMED was: yesterday I vacuumed our living room and hallway

W- Looking out my WINDOW I see: out the front door, Jackson Blvd and some houses across the street. Out the back door I see a parking lot and the Jr High

X- I wish I had X-TRA: time! to spend with Stratton and Derek

Y- My YARD is: Awesome! It's so big and Stratton loves playing in it.

Z- ZZZZZZZ My bedtime is: usually between 9:30 and 10:30

Summer Stratton

Hello again!

It's been way too long since I've been able to get on here and update my pictures and saying anything. I've been super busy at work with the release and what not. I have so many pictures it's hard to pick the best ones from them so I'm going to add a few not and add the rest hopefully tonight. They're adorable. If you would like me to print you off some just let me know. My new hobby is decorating our house so I've been at wal mart printing a bunch of pictures lately. Anywho, hope you enjoy these. I'll try to blog some more tonight when I get home. 

Bring on the Payne!!!

Payne Fenway is FINALLY HERE!!!

Stephanie did an awesome job and delivered Payne by c-section at 9:40pm on Thursday, April 22.
He weighed in at a whopping 10lb 10oz and is 23in long! BIG BABY!!!

He was the talk of the hospital that day. Everyone kept saying "oh you're here to see that big baby!"

He is adorable and here are some pictures to prove it!
