6 Months Old Already!!!

Stratton got his pictures taken last Friday by Rebecca Moore. She owns Moore's Photography. Here are some of the pictures she took of Stratton. They are SO cute. She did a really great job.
This is by far my favorite picture of the two of us.
He absolutely hated that teacup. He screamed every time we put him in it.
This hat was so cute. He kept grabbing his toes while he was in this bucket.

He couldn't keep his hands or the blanket out of his mouth. Poor little guy is teething once again.
Stratton in Daddy's Boston Red Sox hat. I wish you could see the B better though.
He hated being on his belly for these pictures. It was hard to get any good ones.
Look at that cute little face.
Stratton in his first pair of cowboy boots to match Mommy's cowgirl boots.

He looks SO happy in this picture!
Naked baby! The blanket he is laying on is the one that his Great Grandma Marge made especially for him. Isn't it cute?

My favorite naked butt shot of the little man.

Easter Bunny

Yesterday Stratton and I went to the mall to get his pictures taken with the Easter Bunny. We got there and took our pictures and as we were leaving we saw our friends Hailey and Casey. I went to church with Jennifer their mom at Lynwood and we have been hanging out again lately. We got another picture taken with the girls so they can look back when they are older and have pictures together. Casey was born one day after Stratton on the 3rd and Hailey will be 3 years old soon. Aren't they SO cute!?Here is the Strattonator with Mr Easter Bunny!
Casey May and Stratton on the Easter Bunny's lap and Hailey sitting like such a big girl down front.

Erik and Mady's Big Decision

If you haven't already heard, Derek's step brother Erik and his wife Mady are expecting a little boy named Trip McLaren Koehler in August. Just last Friday though, we found out that Trip has a condition called Dandy Walker Syndrome. This means that part of his brain has not developed. We aren't sure as to how bad he has the syndrome yet but please keep them all in your prayers. They are going through a very hard time and have to make some very hard decisions. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers so far. Every bit helps.

To The E.R. Again

Last weekend while giving Stratton a bath I noticed that around his lips, his lips, tongue, and arms from the elbow down were slightly blue. This was the 3rd time this has happened. I would wake him up from his name and he would be blue. I was a little freaked so I called my Building Blocks lady and she told me that we need to call Dr Olson immediately and let him know what was going on. So I called and he told us to make yet another trip to the ER. We got there at around 9:30 pm and sat in the waiting room for 4 hours before we were taken back into a room. They drew blood and did an x-ray while we were waiting then decided around 3 that it was finally time to get us in a room. The room they put us in had a small couch and a medical crib for the baby. Well, Derek and I both stayed the night so I had to sleep up in the crib with Stratton while Derek slept on the couch. Needless to say neither one of us got much sleep. The next morning they called for him to get and MRI and an echo cardiogram. They found out that the little man has a hole in his heart between his left and right atrial. This wasn't why he was turning blue though. That one we are still unsure of. He hasn't done it since and hopefully won't. But, so you all know he is doing well and has not had any more blue episodes. More pictures to come soon!

Oh Gosh It's Been AWHILE!!!

Hey All,

SO sorry it has taken me so long to post on here again. I have been super busy at work and haven't really had time to update it once I get home.

Since the last post the little man has gotten 2 TEETH!!! They "officially" came in on Feb 4th.
Which has made him super fussy and he has picked up a nasty habit of biting.
It is now almost April and he is getting his top two teeth now. Which means more fussiness. :(

He is getting SO incredibly big now. He is officially 17lbs!
He has been in and out of the Dr's office for double ear infections which have been unpleasant to say the least.

He is also now eating BABY FOOD!!!
He loves his green beans, sweet peas, squash, but does NOT like peaches! haha
I'll post some of the cute pics of him tonight once I get them off of Grandma Katie's camera.

This weekend will be Stratton's first ROAD TRIP!!! YAY!
We are going to see his Great Auntie Pam and cousins Eric and Allen out in Lexington, KY.
Great Auntie Pam has yet to see him so we are making a trip to go see her.
Can't wait!

I officially started another class for this semester.
I am taking a Water Safety Instructor class with my elementary gym coach. She was also my high school swim coach as well. It should be a really fun class.

Well, I will put more pictures up tonight and tomorrow of the little man so you all can see him.
Again...sorry it's taken so long to get a new post on here.

Oh, he is also getting his 6 MONTHS pictures next weekend on the 3rd so stay tuned for those pictures as well!

Love you all!

St Louis For the 1st Time

This was Stratton's first road trip today. We went with Grandma Kathie up to St Louis for a day of fun! The weather was just perfect today. It was nice and cool out...just not too cool though. Here is Startton and I in front on the arch getting ready to go in.

I remember this grizzly bear here from when I was little so I had to get a picture with it with Stratton too. While we were standing in line waiting to go up to the top we were asked by one of the people that worked there if we wanted to get up in line further. We said sure why not and moved up to the next group of people going up. The only catch was that we had to ride in separate cars. I got in with a family of four that had two younger boys and a mom and dad. The mom was super claustrophobic which was ok but she asked if it was ok if she could talk to Stratton on the way up so she would stay distracted. She sat and talked to him and he just talked right back as well as he could for being 4 months old. Haha.
Here is the Missouri side of the arch. Stratton really liked looking out the window.

The tall skinny building in the background is where Derek and I took our honeymoon. The millennium hotel. We even ate dinner in the revolving restaurant at the very top. Here is a great picture of Stratton and Busch Stadium in the background. I love how he just watched out the window. Another of Stratton and the St Louis skyline.

This is the Illinois side. He didn't seem to enjoy this side as much. I think it wasn't busy enough for him.
Another of the Illinois side. He loved looking ALLLLL the way down 630 feet to the ground.

Grandma Kathie, Me, and Stratton in our one group shot we got for the day.
Feeding the baby at the very top of the arch. Haha. What photo ops.
Back on ground after we came from the top. The sky looked purple when we came out.
This is what Startton sees when he looks up at me. haha.
Hard Rock Cafe!! It was very delicious. Grandma Kathie and I got really gigantic hamburgers.
